Why does the Moto G Screenlock come on when I am typing?

Moto G Screenlock comes on when I am typing

I have a Moto G 2nd gen running Android 5.0.2.

The screen seems to go to the lock screen quite randomly. Often way before the 5min automatic lock setting.

It even comes on when I am typing an email or text.

Any idea's how I can avoid this annoying behavior?

If you are running a third party launcher, like Nova Launcher, and it's set to lock the screen on double tap on every screen, you can turn it off and just set it to lock on home screen. I had that problem as well. I'm a fast typer, so it locked instantly when I was sending a text. I hope this helps.
