To be completely honest this phone should not exist in the form it is now. It should've just been the LG V30+ that already exists with 6gb of RAM and 256gb of storage when the original V30 was launched. The software they could've added on later in an OTA. So does anyone else question this phones existence?

UNLESS this thinQ thing required a hardware adjustment too? Probably not, BUT maybe. I'm sorta with you on this not quite sure why LG is trying to reinvent the wheel, the V30/30+ are perfectly fine! And you may be right (probably are right) that all that's required for this ThinQ thing is software. :)

I somewhat agree. However, in order to survive in this rat race market, they have to make sacrifices. I think the design is totally fine, the V30 still looks very good. The upgraded specs will sure make fans or newbies happy. 256GB storage and 6GB RAM? That'll last me a while.

So the processor will be the same too? Same camera hardware?

Yup. Just RAM and internal storage and the software tricks.

Well Samsung pretty much did the same thing with the S8 and S9.. very minimal changes. Same with iPhone. We're kinda at the point where every phone is pretty darn good by now and there isn't a high demand for crazy powerful phones right now. Nobody needs a new phone, they just want one. I predict my V20 to last several years as long as I don't break it, camera is good enough for me, I use a real camera for photos.

The S9 at least has newer processors and materials. Even an additional camera for the bigger version.

Saying the V30S vs V30 is the same as S8 vs S9 is pushing it.
