Why doesn't my laptop see my S5 or S6. Can I transfer my photos?

All my apps and email info transferred but not my photos. The laptop doesn't see the S5 to just download/paste to the new phone and doesn't see the new phone either. How can I save my S5 photos to my S6?

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect the phone to the computer via USB, do you get a USB Connection notification on the phone? If so, swipe down the notification panel, tap the connection notification, and make sure MTP is selected. Then open Windows Explorer on the PC and see if the phone shows up in the device list.

Welcome to the forums. Another option could be to upload them to a cloud server, then re download them to your new phone.
