Why doesn't my LG G Watch display always refresh on a new minute?

LG G Watch: Display does not always refresh on new minute

Pretty often, the clock jumps to the next minute, when I turn the wrist or tap the screen (display switches from dimmed to bright mode).

In reality, the new minute should have been displayed some seconds earlier. So in practice, the clock is often a little late.

If I choose a watch face with seconds, I can see this even better, because for example, in dimmed mode it shows 2:00, then I turn the wrist and it suddenly shows 2:01:20.

Sometimes, it even jumps 2 minutes when I activate the display.

So, screen refresh on change of minute does not always work.

I have already uninstalled all non-Google apps with Wear components and I did a factory reset on the watch.

It seems to happen less often with Android Wear 5.0.1, but still happens.

I have noticed, it happens with standard watch faces and Facer watch faces sometimes. But it happens very often with WatchMaker watch faces.

Anyone else with this kind of problem? Is there any fix for that? Or is the hardware of mine not OK?

A computer doing nothing but keeping time (like an electronic watch) can be accurate to a fraction of a second (if it's calibrated properly). A computer that's multitasking, and doesn't have a hardware interrupt for the clock, like an Android watch, can be busy doing something else for a few seconds or even a minute.

Hmm, an Android phone at least is able to fire an alarm pretty exactly on the minute, if desired.

But my primary concern is: Are others seeing the same thing or not?

I am seeing the same thing. The one issue that really just gets at me and makes me want to go back to my $20 Timex is the seconds. I use that a lot during the day, and it just kind of bugs me that they aren't steady with the screen on. It's not a huge deal but it would be nice to have something a bit more accurate, but that may harm the device in another way so, whatever works i guess.

I have reported that issue to Google before the update to Wear 5 was available. I have used the feedback function in the Wear app and the Google support group for Wear. No answer. Not fixed.

I haven't seen this issue yet

I just started seeing this issue today. It's happening with at least the couple of watch faces I've checked. As I was sitting in a meeting my watch continued to display 10:47 in low-power mode, but when I finally tilted my wrist the time "jumped" to 11:00. Oops! It would be great to have this fixed and feel like the watch is a reliable time-teller again.

It never was that much in my case. Mostly only 1 minute behind.
