Why doesn't the new Snapchat update on the Zenfone 2?

hey can anyone tell me why the new snapchat update of today (9.15.15) specifically the new lenses feature won't work on the asus zenfone 2? the description says that lenses will not work on older android phones (and the zenfone 2 is not old) and in order to be able to take a video in the lenses feature which is a capability exceeding even the regular lenses picture feature, the phone must be running android 5.0 or higher, and my zenfone 2 is running 5.0. why won't the update work? and should it even work?

Have you found out why?! I can't get it to work on mine either :'( all I ever wanted was to send a selfie while puking a rainbow!!!

Check around here. Seems several newer phones have same issues.

I have a Huawei P8 Lite (5.0) and Lenses don't work either but on my S4 Mini (4.4.2) it works great...

mine used to not work too. I tried it today it works! try it now hopefully yours will too.. I'm using the 1.8 ghz 2gb one btw if that makes a diff.

It does work now, but what happened to all the cool filters like the cyborg one? Did they remove it? Current filters are very girly and childish.
