Why don't my Car Bluetooth outgoing calls ring?

Car Bluetooth outgoing call doesn't ring

I'm having a issue with my android phone (Google Nexus 5) & bluetooth system in my car. When I make an outgoing call it doesn't ring, the radio just continues to play. Once the person answers then they come over the car speakers. This just started a couple weeks ago. I've tried turn off "Ok Google" that hasn't fixed it. Anybody else have this issue or other suggestions?

I was having problems with BT after the Marshmallow update. I deleted the phone from the car settings and re-paired. It is better now.

I have been having a not-so-great time with Marshmallow. Phone is really laggy and SMS messages are not going out. Trying to wipe cache partition now to see if that fixes problem.
