Why don't photos on my S4 delete when I delete them off photos on computer or table?

Photos on S4 do not delete when I delete them off photos on computer or table

I have cleared the gallery cache data and unclicked Picassa.

Welcome to Android Central!

You may have them backed up in your Google Photos app. Open the app that says Photos and then delete them. Make sure you have an internet connection on the phone before you do that or they will not delete out of the cloud and pop back up on your phone.

I'm having the same problem. I have deleted some pictures over and over and they keep coming back. I delete them go to the trash and empty it and turn on the sync. And they are still there. They are gone from my Gallery app but still in Google photos. Any help?

Are the photos stored on your SD card or the internal storage?

My photos are on my SD card and they are deleted from my gallery. But keep coming back in Google photo.

You need to delete them from the Google photo app while you are connected to the Internet.

I think I finally have an answer. Go to Settings, then along the top go to Accounts, then to Backup and Reset at the bottom. Take off the check mark on automatic restore. Once you have deleted your pictures on your first device and check to make sure that they are deleted off your other devices then you may recheck it. I have lots of these pictures that keep reappearing so have to delete many images before I recheck that so at least it seems as though it may work. GOOD LUCK!
