s4 won't roam after update

Was at the sprint store back I'm sept. Going over my act they noticed I had never used any 4g at all. He did some updates and after that 4g worked. I drove a tractor trailer and spend almost 1\2 my time in areas where I roam. After this update 4g worked great (obviously only in areas where 4g is available) but my phone will no longer roam. I have 0 roaming usage when about 40% of my usage before this update was roaming. I know just have a red x on my screen where it used to show roaming or 4g or 3g. I have gone back to the sprint store twice and they update software, prl etc etc and tell me "you should be all set" but it still won't roam.

All my settings are correct (verified by me on multiple occasions and sprint employees)

I posted it on the sprint customer page for assistance and sprint replied "follow this link to learn how to use your roaming settings" when I was very clear in my original post all my roaming settings are correct. They either don't read the messages in there entirety or it is just a computer generated message. Please help. I drive thru areas that I now get 0 service in for an hour or 2 when I used to get roaming service before

Fyi and please don't reply with how to change my roaming settings I am well past that point.

Thanks

Re: s4 won't roam after update

When you're in an area where you aren't roaming, go to the store of the carrier you should be roaming on and see if they can help. If not, go back to Sprint, ask them to call tech support while you're there and have it elevated to level 2 - while you're there. (They have the absolutely worst customer support, as far as technical issues go - you have to tell them what to do, they don't know.) Level 2 tech support should have an answer. If they don't, ask tech support to elevate the trouble until they get to someone who knows how to fix your problem. (If there's another carrier that would cover the areas you need covered, call Sprint's retention department and tell them that, since thy changed your phone so that you can't get service, you're going to have to insist that they terminate your contract with no penalty. Retention is normally authorized to do just about anything but give you permanently free service to retain you as a customer. If they're willing to let you go, tell them that you're going to insist, and turn it over to an attorney if you have to, that they pay all your costs in converting to another carrier - including the same phone for that carrier. They caused you a problem, and if they can't fix the problem they're liable for whatever it costs you to fix it.)
