Why have I not received the Nougat OTA yet?

[AC Question]

I have a Nexus 6P, so ideally, the ota should arrive first, or in the first week of release (22nd August). It's now 7th of September, and I still have no OTA, but my friend who lives 3 minutes away got the update at the end of August.

Question is, is this normal for the flagship Nexus device. Do I wait it out? If I flash it myself, will anything wipe?

OP here. Why is it taking this long? I swear they say 1 - 2 weeks max. I just want to know how much longer I'll have to wait
