Why have my emails stopped working on my Moto G?

Email not working

Have a Moto G, emails were working fine until yesterday now I can't send or receive messages through primary account hotmail. Auto sync is on and in the settings it says it is syncing but nothing either way. Also have the Gmail app seperately which is working fine. Any ideas?

Welcome to AC.

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to Email, and select Clear Cache.

Thanks for the post...tried this but still not working...any other ideas?
