Why I am leaving the Nexus....

Why is everyone giving the OP so much crap bout liking the XPRT? This is the one great thing bout Android, its available in so many different for factors, sizes, and they can all meet different needs.

All iPhones look and do the same

Almost all Blackberries look and do the same

Androids are all different, sure you a bunch of slabs, but there are some with slide out keyboards, front facing keyboards, big screens, small screens, 3D, dual core, google experience, HDMI out, laptop docks, and everything else in between.

Thats what makes Android the power house that it is, veriety on every carrier in any form you need to fit your needs.

I got my phone on launch day for 199, took it back and they waved the restocking fee and reset my upgrade. I can now get it again in a few months if they fix the signal issues for 150 or just get something else if I chose. Either way it?s a win. The guy at the sprint store told me that they are getting more returns now than sales so the price may drop even more. I would think if this were just a software issue it would have been fixed buy now. I know the evo signal issue was fixed before the 30 day period was up. It?s kind of funny that I can get a nexus s for less than a year old evo 4g. They know that there is a real problem or they would not be dropping the price already.

My experience was similar; I returned it after 3 weeks or so and they didn't charge the restocking fee. They just nodded their heads when I mentioned signal issues.

I'm hoping to hear something about Pre3 now that the Touchpad has a release date... but maybe I'll look at the XPRT too. I like the idea that someone posted re: the better email app that comes on it... that was another one of my big issues with the Nexus.

The XPRT looks cool and i certainly understand the draw to the form factor. Maybe someday I'll come across a friend that owns one and isn't scared to let me get my grubby mits on it . That phone would benefit from some root/OC/blurless love lol

As a side note, you guys should stop bickering about this phone or that phone. I'm just happy to see people using and loving android. I don't care who makes it or what network it's on.

This is why I went ahead and posted this here, because I wanted your guys thoughts on it, and I dont feel bad if you diss the XPRT, give me solid reasons as to why without harsh words. As for the screen size etc...trust me i have researched all this, heck I think i might just keep my Nexus, no one on Craigslist wants it anyway LOL guess the signal issue is bigger than what I thought..if people on CL know about it...its pretty bad.:-\

And one more thing...that is the BEAUTY and the SUCCESS behind Android...CHOICES- Heck even Windows phone look all the same as far as UI.

Samsung just called and offered me $500 to keep my Nexus and not gofor the XPRT...so I am happy now. Keeping my NX4G!

J/K Sammy didnt call, but I am keeping this...after much thought and comparison...I will wait for a device with a better screen and camera that has a qwerty built in ( no slider) to move into.

It seems like you have changed your mind about 6 times in a month. You had the phone, then you took it back, then you got it again, then you said you got the XPRT and kept the Nexus, now you say you never got the XPRT.

And I think you've had about 4 different screen protectors too, right?

Please provide a link to me stating I left the Nexus or got a XPRT... this post indicates as to why I put the Nexus behind me and on sale on Craigslist if u look at some of my replies there's a signature on there ...I now decided to delete the ad and keep my phone. As to your comment about screen protectors I have Phantom skinz and received a replacement so this is my second one .. your point?

You can't and really, there's no reason to. If the conversation is dead then the thread will fall to the bottom forever to be forgotten. But, if people still want to chat in this thread about the topic, they are free to. All you can do is just update the OP so people know you've changed your mind and that's it.
