Why I cant see any albums or photos in gallery (htc m8)?

I am experiencing the same issue, with regard to photos. HTC Sync Manager only shows random photos on my phone. I have no idea how it decides to show what it does, but I cant transfer any new photos from phone to PC because they simply don't show up! I am past aggravated but I know there is a simple, logical fix for this...right? I will go through all the replies and try the suggestions that I haven't already attempted and then post back.

When connection my phone to my PC I can only see random photos NOT ALL OF THEM getting so frustrated now. Just want to be able to transfer them all across to a photo website to have them printed off. any suggestions? I have an SD card have checked internal storage and SD card cant seem to locate them. Any help would be much appreciated. thank you in advance

I had same problem and I solved it by, 1) download files manager
2) start file manager, click "Settings", then turn on "Show hidden files"
3) you likely will see a file, .nomedia, delete it
4) now you MUST restart your smartphone and hopefully all objects in each folders should be fine

This worked for me on a HTC 10 with astro file manager. Thanks!

It works!!!, thanks a lot, although I had to errase many .nomedia files in different folders on my phone (have a m9u)
