Why I chose the TB and why I am still glad I did, despite issues.

DITTO on feelin' the LUV for my Tbolt and my wife is enjoying her's also! Would not trade if for the "other" 4G choice. Seen it, played with it, glad we went for the Tbolt!!

My wife says it is just too big for her . . . (insert your own "that's what she said" joke here!). She prefers the size of her DINC. So, when she upgrades, it will likely be to something like the DINC2. The good thing is that the DINC was such a solid phone, she has no desire to upgrade for a while!

Agreed. I was an early adopter of the original Droid X and I sold it after three months because I was having lots of issues and moved to a Blackberry Bold. I'm back in the Android camp now and from my comparison:
1. Sense is much better than Blur.
2. I do miss the X being as skinny as it was, but other than that - I really like the TB.

tbolt

I have the extended battery vz sells, have had not one reboot issue, and couldn't be happier with this phone.

The reason I got my Thunderbolt is because i just plan wanted one. I wanted one every since i saw it on BGR last year. I saw the EVO and I was jealous. I craved a kickstand and a 4.3 inch screen. I now have my awesome phone. Never cared about dual core or quad core for that matter. When IceCream comes to handsets in the same form factor I may get a new phone. Specs matter of course but I LOVE my Tbolt despite the issues.

I've never regretted buying the ThunderBolt. The call quality alone is enough for me to love it.

Beyond that, the amount of app space compared to my Nexus One is unreal. Never have any lag, it's very quick in everything it does...and I get to watch everyday waiting for that 4G icon to pop up. It's like waiting for Christmas...I love it. :) I do have the occasional data drop(which imo is a network issue not tbolt issue), and the occasional GPS taking awhile to lock, but those are the only issues I've ever had.

IMO, right now it's the best Android device available. Now, that may very well change when the Sensation is released in the US, but until then, the Tbolt is "it".

I believe the boot loader is locked on the sensation... that would be enough to deter me, other than the fact that t-mobile doesn't work at my place of employment. Sprint doesn't work well (I roam currently on verizon) and It doesn't work in my apartment either (got an airave from Sprint, but that craps out every now and then, and you can't be on a call when you're heading out the door, you must end it or get cut off.

I had an iphone for the past two years and just bough the Thunderbolt. I love the phone but don't know too many ways to save the battery. What is the "blockbuster" situation and how can I fix it? Also, do you have any other tips on how to save battery?

Thank You.

The Blockbuster app is set up to sync by default. Open the app, go into setting, and turn off the automatic updating of the movie listings.

I never worry about a locked bootloader, my trust in the hacker community is immense! :0) I see they rooted the DX2 even before it is officially released!

But the coverage issue is, to me, the most important. I would always choose carrier first, based on local coverage, then get the best phone on that carrier.
