Android Central Question

When an appointment reminder pops up, It just says "Content Hidden" I went to calendar settings, but only have "Hide content" and "Do not show notifications" for options. I don't have the option to "show content" like some tutorials mention. How do I fix this?

Most important is which device every manufacturer is different on lock screen

Hi. Thank you. It's a Galaxy S20. I don't have a hide content option under Lock Screen settings. The only option on lock screen similar to hide content is Notifications and that is turned on. I already went to calendar settings and in other tutorials it says to select Alert Style and under lock screen there should be an option to Show content, but I only have Hide Content or Don't show notifications to select from.

Go to Settings>Lock screen, then tap the word Notifications (not the toggle switch). Make sure Hide Content is turned off.

When I click the word Notifications, there is no option for Hide content. The only thing it shows on that screen is the word On with the toggle switch.

When you long press sansung calendar then tap info >notification tap>notification category tap>each submenu tap it will show my screenshot, I don't think it allows show content until u unlocked the device Screenshot_20220107-135212_Settings.jpgScreenshot_20220107-135206_Settings.jpg

That screenshot is what I've seen in other tutorials; however, like I mentioned above, but I only have Hide Content or Don't show notifications to select from and it's not a slide bar. It's a button. Let me see if I can figure out how to share a screenshot

Yeah b.diddy on different One UI and Andriod version , i believe it doesnt allow this on lock screen for security reasons

I'm trying to reply from my phone so I can add the screenshot but there's no attachment icon.

This is what I see when I long held the calendar icon and also when I went to the calendar settings under alerts

Apologies if I'm off-base here, but those screenshots are when you go to the Settings>Apps menu, then select Calendar. The screenshot I shared previously is when I go to Settings>Lock screen. Can you show us a screenshot of that?

I can reproduce what you're seeing in the Settings>Apps menu if I toggle on the Hide Content switch in the Settings>Lock screen menu. If that toggle is on, then when I go to Settings>Apps, select Calendar then tap General Notifications, I only get Hide Content and Don't Show Notifications when I select Lock Screen on that menu. If the Hide Content switch is toggled off, then Show Details becomes an option.

This is what I see when I go to settings, lock screen, notifications

Interesting. You're on One UI 4?

I wonder if this could also be due to some device security policy. Are you using the phone for work? If so, did you have to get the phone approved or modified by your IT department?
