I made this account specifically to post about this issue. Why can I not delete this stupid app off my phone ? Why can I not delete the Facebook app which does nothing but brings me misery and anger day in and day out? I don't like using it , and it has absolutely no purpose for me. There should be absolutely no reason that I as the owner of this device cannot delete anything that I do not want on the device especially the Facebook app.

You can sit there and say that I can disable it but it still takes up storage on my phone which by the way is already running out and I've tried hard resetting and the phone won't even let me do that. Maybe I should just buy something that's not Android because clearly they don't know how to code their device properly and also they think that pairing up with Mark Zuckerberg and burning the most pathetic app on my phone is going to make me happy somehow. I don't know I just think that I should be able to delete that and get more storage space and if you think differently then enjoy licking boots I guess but I'm not a submissive personality like you that likes to be controlled and likes to be told what to do with my own time and my own devices. Unlike most Americans these days I feel like if you purchase something you should purchase something that is a quality item. Something that doesn't come with things that you're trying to sell me that I don't want. I'm sorry that I am smarter than you I guess I don't know get angry I don't care I'm not going to sit here and argue with people I'm literally just posting this and dipping.

Welcome to AC!
I edited some of your stuff as we in this community don't get involved in politics or religion, Race etc . There are other online Forums for this .

We will stick to the topic why Facebook is pre-installed on devices.

Your manifesto has been duly noted, but your 'roid rage is misplaced. 😉 Facebook being pre-installed or non-removable on a device would be a manufacturer issue, not an Android issue. I have owned Motorola, BlackBerry, OnePlus and Google Android phones and none of them came with FaceBook pre-installed. And if it were pre-installed on one of my devices, you can bet that the manufacturer would hear from me.

I would think about contacting the manufacturer of your phone, since that would be the most effective way to communicate your displeasure with their product.

some Samsung devices agreed to load their app on their device as part of default software.

You can look this over:

If you have an older device I would practice on that first. I would also highly advise uninstalling apps you can see in the app drawer.

ADB is a very powerful tool. However, it can also be very unforgiving. Make absolutely sure you are comfortable with the command you are executing (why I suggest testing on an older device)

Actually, all the original BlackBerry 10 devices and the OS came preloaded with Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, and Twitter. All apps written by BlackBerry for those phones. Facebook eventually changed their APIs and wouldn't let BlackBerry have them so by 10.3, BlackBerry only provided a browser link for the desktop icon.

At least all of those apps could be deleted after the fact, so there was that.

Samsung did pre-load Facebook for quite a few years, but seems to be missing now. My previous S20 FE had it pre-installed when I first got it. I disabled it but couldn't delete it. Until one of the updates in 2023, then I could suddenly outright delete it. When I got my S24+ at launch earlier this year, there was no Facebook on it.

When 3rd party apps are preinstalled on a phone, it's typically a business agreement between that app developer and the phone manufacturer and/or the carrier. This kind of agreement can help to subsidize the cost of the phone, and typically the manufacturer would then pass the savings on to the consumer. That's why you typically see this kind of behavior on budget or midrange phones, and less commonly on expensive flagships.

This is one of the reasons I prefer Pixel phones, because there's none of this 3rd party bloat (and no, I do not consider Google's apps bloatware).
