Anton

I cannot connect to the google play app.
When i try to log in it says: "a problem occurred In the communication with the google servers. Try again later" I have tried to turn on/off the phone without progress.
I have a Samsung galaxy s4.
Any other tip?

Re: Problem With Google play app store

Welcome to Android Central! Are all other Google services like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc., working normally? If not, there might be an issue with the Google servers or your connection to the servers. Does this occur on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to the App Manager, selecting Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Data, then Force Stop. Now see if it works.

Otherwise, give it a day or so, and see if it works after waiting.

Thanx for your reply!
I dont use any other googleapps so i dont know, i have waited since saturday so that dont work. I tried to clear cache & all that with no success either :(
Should i contact the store or Samsung instead?

Did your phone come with Google Play preinstalled? If not, it might be a version that isn't certified for Google Play.

Yes it was installed. I sent it for hardware service and since then I cant connect.

No worries, I say the same to you because Im swedish and some times its hard to get the grammar right.

Try removing your Google account in a Settings/Accounts, then add it back again.

Ive already done that, but i cannot add my account there nor in the app. Maybe I was a little unclear with that. Since the phone is reset like it is new i had to add an account. And when i do it does not work.

Very annoying because I cant use my phone like I did before with all the apps.

So can you even get past the setup wizard, where it asks you to log in with an existing Google account (or create a new one)?

I choose to log in on an existing account. Write the gmail & password and after i press done and accepted the terms & conditions it says That a problem in the communication with the google servers occurred.

Can you tell us if this happens regardless of which wi-fi network you're using, or if you're on mobile data? Some wi-fi networks might have a firewall set up that prevents certain servers from being accessed.

I tested it on mobile data and it was the same. Havent tested it on any other wi-fi yet. can it be beacuse i have strict NAT? I'll see if I have strict & then I test to change it to open

Hmm, I've never dealt with NAT before now. Let us know if it does anything.

One other thought. I've been seeing a number of posts about issues with Google Play Store not connecting, or problems with Google Play Services. There is a new version rolling out right now (6.1), so I wonder if these issues are correlated. You may just have to wait until the updated version rolls out to your device.
