Google typing is repeating every phrase twice on messaging

I have an AT&T Galaxy S5 (4.4.2)and when I use Google voice typing in the default messaging app, it repeats the last phrase i speak twice. This probably happens 40% of the time. I have not noticed it anywhere else except for when I am dictating a text. Any thoought or known solutions? I have searched. This is my first post, by the way. Thanks in advance, MA

wow.. no replies. That only means one thing...

I have the same problem. I've learned that it only does it when I'm connected to WiFi. if I disconnect from wifi it doesn't do it anymore. the other thing that I have noticed is it only seems to do it on a text message. I am connected to wifi right now and using speech to dictate the message on this post and its not typing the message twice.

This is so annoying. It started about a month or two ago and now does it most of the time. This makes voice typing useless if I have to spend more time editing what it typed. My galaxy s5 phone is getting worse with age. Don't get me started on how bad the camera has degraded.

I'm having the same problem with my Galaxy S5 (Verizon) on Lollipop 5.0. It started happening as soon as I installed AirDroid 3.0 (app to send/receive SMS messages between my phone and PC). Uninstalled AirDroid (which claims to be compatible with Samsung/Loli 5.0 now--NOT), problem went away. Do you have any similar apps installed?

Just started happening to me today! Never did so in the past, unsure of how it started.

Give this a shot, see if performance is boosted ;)

Power down your phone, now press & hold the power button, volume up & the home button until your phone boots into Recovery. Now use the volume rocker to select Wipe Cache. Hit the power button to make it happen - give it a sec to clear the cache. Now use the volume rocker to select Reboot System - hit the power button & run you phone for a bit. See if this helps*
