Why is it that since I installed Lollipop I am having problems with Facebook and Words with Friends (Nexus 5)?

Lollipop problems with Facebook and Words with Friends (Nexus 5)

Since installing Lollipop, I cannot update my Facebook feed and Words with Friends does not load games in progress - just a plain black screen. I can see the first few Words screens, but when I click on a game, it goes black. Ideas?

Lot of apps are of causing problems. Facebook is a major problem.

Facebook is a major problem.

Well Facebook has always been a problem, loading slow and taking up memory, but it's not any worse on Lollipop. At least it works just like before for me.

Well, Facebook is back, but still can't use Words with Friends

Uninstall / reinstall words. That should take care of the problem you are having..

OMG - you are right! I was so afraid I would lose all my games and preferences. I finally sat down this morning and ceremoniously uninstalled and reinstalled - BAM! All better!

Just a heads up for anyone else having this problem : you don't need to reinstall. I was able to fix it by clearing the app data and restarting the app.
