Why is jungle sounds and music playing with no apps open?

[Android Central Question]

From time to time when I have my phone on, it will play these sounds, starting with a lion's roar, and then monkeys like jungle sounds with some music. This happens with no apps open and even after killing tasks. I was guessing this is some type of virus thing, but I've run Avast virus cleaner, as well as Malwarebytes. I'm thinking it might be a malfunctioning app, or one with intrusive ads, but can't figure out which one.

Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this?

Have you tried safe mode if it goes away?

Welcome to Android Central! If it's a Samsung phone, try installing Nice Catch from the Galaxy Store. Also, when you hear that, try tapping the App Overview/Recent Apps button and see if there is anything suspicious (like the browser showing some site that looks like an ad).
