Why is my battery full but my phone shows a 1.5hour life left?

Hello, I have a google 5
My phone started to turn off by itself yesterday, on and off constantly.
Today, i noticed that my phone says its at 83% on battery life, but only has 1 hour and 50 minutes left.
I thought it was the fact that I kept avoiding the upgrade, so I did it today, it still hasnt changed a thing, any ideas on what this could be?

First I would try checking if there are any apps using an extraordinary amount of battery Settings->Battery. Take a look at the highest percentage app. I think this is not very likely to be the problem unless your phone is smoking hot all of the time.

If you don't find anything useful there, try a factory reset on your phone.

If that doesn't work, your battery probably has a problem and needs replacing.
