Why is my battery life always fully charged?

I have a Samsung galaxy Mega 6.3. When I first got the phone (bought from someone not the store) I noticed that my battery life was always fully charged even when I knew it was getting low I would charge it and it would say 100%. So I ordered a new battery and it does the same thing as the old one did. Is there some kind of feature in my settings I need to change? Or any recommendations?

Hmm, it sounds like nothing more than false reporting of the charge level.
Try a Cache Partition wipe.
If no go, get back to us.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you get it new or used? Is it rooted or unrooted? If it's used, I wonder if the previous owner rooted the phone and modified the system (like installing a custom ROM, or doing some other tweaks that messed up the battery monitoring software). Use Root Checker to find out.
