Why is my cell phone not compatible with the Ring app

Why does my cell phone say it's not compatible with the Ring app so can somebody please answer that for me I have an LG 4 cell phone

Simple Google search says ring requires Android 8.1 or newer and if your LG 4 is the G4 your Android version is outdated and not compatible as it was never updated beyond Android 7.
