Why is my Droid Turbo 2 battery draining so fast?

Re: For those with bad battery life

Haven't noticed but for me the battery improvement certainly worth it! Good luck!

Re: For those with bad battery life

I was right there with you.... Until two days ago when I read an article on Drippler which explained that Facebook app and Facebook Messenger app have been tested and proven to be the most battery draining apps for several reasons some too technical for me to understand. So, I deleted both apps and can say without doubt that my battery life has improved substantially. Very pleased and I just use the mobile website in place of the apps as the article suggested. Hope this helps others.

Yep I deleted facebook as well but not messanger as I use that all the time. I did see a huge improvement as well after deleting facebook. I use the brower and also an app called metel which is a wrapper for the browser and it works well. I should delete messanger to see if the battery life gets even better.

Do it! GSAM proved it to me as well! Very pleased...

Re: For those with bad battery life

Uninstalling Facebook app didn't do anything for me. Haven't tried uninstalling FB Messenger yet, I tend to rely on it.

I suspect my battery drain challenge could be Bluetooth Pebble smart watch, 24x7.

Yeah Bluetooth on with a smart watch is not going to get you great battery 🔋 life. What is your average?

Wherever it came from it worked for me and I appreciate it

I use Metal as well but still have messenger installed. Is there a substitute for messenger?

You can send/receive messages via the web based page. No need for messenger either. I say that from the perspective of just plain messages. There is no video, etc.

I have a DT2, I only downloaded the S Health to track my daily steps since I was using it on my Note 3. But will try removing it to see if there's a difference in battery life.

Oh, sorry! Didn't realize that S Health works on non-Samsung devices.
