Galaxy s6 edge battery drains too fast!

I've had the s6 edge since April and within the last 2 weeks the battery life has decreased dramatically I've always used the adaptive fast charger and haven't had a problem until now! I tried switching to a regular charger but no difference. I also downloaded a battery optimizer that says I have hours left but it's still draining plus even with the power saving mode and ultra power saving mode it still drains even with closing all apps and every tip out there! Any reason why? Please let me know as soon as possible!!

Better is to reset your phone, you can also try stoping all apps by battery doctor to improve battery perfomance.

My battery drain so fast to on the galaxy s6 edge plus the most I get is two and a half hours on screen time that's terrible

I had to reset my phone to get my battery back. Seems better so far. Only time will tell.

If you have setup Samsung Pay, be sure to remove your cards from Samsung Pay before you wipe your phone. I couldn't re-add my Amex to it, but my Citibank was re-added fine.

This is sound advice. On any device I've had in the last couple of years my battery life has shot up considerably disabling Wi-Fi (and sometimes the data connection) and only turning them on when I need them. It's getting the balance between battery life and the convenience of data/Wi-Fi on a phone that's the tricky part.

I had this on AT&T with the 5.1.1 update. Disabled Android Pay - bingo.

Re: Galaxy s6 edge battery drains too fast!

Was Android Pay listed as running? If I go to Application Manager, Android Pay is under the "Downloaded" category, but not the "Running" category, so I'm not sure if this would work for me. I have the Samsung Galaxy S 6 (not Edge), and I too am on AT&T with the 5.1.1 update.

At first I disabled a bunch of apps thinking it would save storage space, and the battery started draining real quick. I re-enabled some of them, and the battery life is back to normal. I think some apps are necessary for the phone to operate correctly. Don't disable any apps you think android needs.

I have had all the same issues. Draining fast. Wouldn't charge on multiple charges while turned off. Was about useless. Went to the store and the guy there performed a soft reset. Should have asked him how but didn't think about it since it worked. Now my battery started acting the same way again. Checked online for the method to do a soft reset. Before I did the reset it was at 28% battery. Held down the "Volume down" + "Power" buttons together until it restarted and left go. When completed reboot battery is at 73%. You can mess with the apps, display, cleaners, but try this.

When you do this soft reset, you dont loose any info like you do with a factory reset?

Your battery life seems OK. It's worse than others because you have whatsapp, instagram, facebook which drains battery a lot. And you used google maps.

I had a funny thing happen to my S6 the other day. For no apparent reason, it got very hot and tge battery drained within an hour. Once recharged and cooled, it was fine and I've not had that problem again.

55% battery used in 3 hours and 37 minutes while in power saving mode. Thats rediculous... And out of which 50% of the used battery is from the Screen...
I can post a screenshot of the battery usage but i dont know how.
