Why is my Google Account giving a sync error on all Google Apps?

Google Account sync error- Android 5.0 Lollipop

I am using Nexus 4 and day before yesterday i have upgraded my phone to Lollipop after that my google account is throwing sync error on all the google applications.

I Tried to remove existing Google account and thought of adding it again not able to do so as well,no google play services are runnning it seems.

Suggest something.

And, do you actually have a working data connection?

You'll need a functional Wi-Fi connection (preferably) or a data connection through your carrier. If the latter, then you need to have a correctly configured APN entry as well.

You need to do a factory reset and everything will work as it was intended, you should always do a factory reset with a major upgrade like this. You may still have a few minor bugs but hopefully these will be cleared up in time.

Same problem, even with cache wipe. There should be no need for factory reset with OTA, so please help us find a different solution or warn others to avoid the current update.

Which Google Play Services version do you have on your phone?

What happens if you go to Settings/Accounts-Google/[your Google account], and manually uncheck any of those Google apps, then check them again?
