Why is my Google Messenger App taking longer to load?

Okay so here is my problem the default messaging on my note 4 (Tmobile) loads MMS instantly, but google messenger takes a couple of mins to load it, it being with wifi or mobile data. Any solutions?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried going to the App Manager, selecting Google Messenger, and Clearing Cache/Data?

Yes still having the same issue. It takes about 6 mins to load a MMS over wifi

Are you using T-Mobile's wi-fi calling feature? MMS typically requires mobile data to be on. It's possible that Google Messenger isn't accustomed to using wi-fi calling for MMS. What happens if you're on mobile data only? Does Messenger work better that way?

It is only a bit faster. I hope a update will fix it.
