Why is my Huawei (touch screen model ) stuck on "Huawei recovery 1.0"

[Android Central Question]

My Huawei (touch screen model) is stuck in recovery, showing 0% progress and saying " Hauwei software installing DONOT press powerkey or remove battery!" I have plugged in to a charger but still nothing.
How do I get out of this freeze mode without losing data on the phone??

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? "Touch screen model" is very vague -- all smartphones have a touchscreen.
