Why is my internal storage continuously filling

[Android Central Question]

I have an LG Stylo 3 that has recently run out of internal storage at an alarming rate. I delete apps only to have something else filling the available space. It also doesn't help that the phone recently updated with four files explaining the updates that I cannot delete. I am not in a financial situation where I can replace the phone, and I'm already using an SDcard for files and apps that I can store there.

Welcome to the forums. Check out the storage usage by IM apps like WhatsApp or Telegram, they use to accumulate lots of media files.

Is there a list in general of IM apps? I don't have WhatsApp or Telegram, but I may have some things that are accumulating files that have been doing so for awhile, but its finally getting to a point of critical mass where clearing the cache yields very little in results.

Try also DiskUsage to get a better idea of what's taking up space.
