Why is my internet not connecting despite strong 4G signal?

Device: Samsung S5

Today I've noticed that all my widgets were not displaying any information and my google search bar would not establish an internet connection. My phone had a strong 4G signal strength. I am able to use the phone as well as refresh apps like Facebook and Twitter. As well my texts conversations are not displaying in chronological order. Instead my messages flash once I send and then disappear or appear at the very top of my conversation while my received messages appear one after another at the bottom of the conversation.

Try a Cache Partition wipe. If unsuccessful, consider a Factory Reset, as long as your personal data is backed up first....otherwise it will be lost:

Make sure also that you don't have a bad SD card, or a bad SIM card.

Good ideas. I would start with a simple reboot first. Or turn off mobile data, then turn it back on again. If those don't help, then proceed with belodion's suggestion. Cache wipe steps are here: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support
