Why is my keyboard not working

I'm using a j100 and my keyboard is not responding when I press on the keys whether on whatsapp or any other social network, I can't type anything on it

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist after a reboot? It only happens with social media apps? What about with other apps, like your email app or texting app?
