Why is my LG g3 battery draining so quickly?

LG g3 battery drains too quickly

i have had lg g3 for over 6 months now and my battery life has been really bad overall. On a typical day i use it for basic browsing and music and texting. None of those are extreme usage and yet i only get like 5-6 hrs. It drains wayy too fast. I have looked in the battery setting and it days 35% battery usage is screen. My display is 50-60% with battery saver. All the other settings are in favor of battery too. What can i do to improve the performance?

How many hours of screen-on time do you get, and at what typical brightness setting?

I'm disappointed to keep reading reports of poor G3 battery life. Do you have all haptic feedback disabled? Keeping your brightness turned down may also help.

(Haalcyon: Allow me to add to your disappointment. My own 6-months-old G3, whose battery I have not seriously abused, though I haven't given it the best treatment either, has shown markedly reduced battery life over the last couple of months, since before the 5.0 update, compared to the glorious SOTs I got when it was young. I don't know why. I'm not complaining and not even all that worried....just saying, is all. I doubt I'm alone.)

I was very close to getting a G3 this past Friday as a 2nd phone.

I have read multiple blogs and have done all the basic adjustments including screen brightness, notifications settings etc. I get about 2 hours of screen time (overall) with 50-60% of brightness.

I was very close to getting a G3 this past Friday as a 2nd phone.

Don't let me, at least, put you off. Overall a wonderful phone. Batteries, schmatteries....who hasn't got problems with them. And with the G3 you can easily fit a new one.

Do you recharge at 40%-50%, as you should, or do you use as much battery as you can before charging (which can kill a battery in 6 months)?

I recharge at around 20%. Does recharging at 40% make a significant difference?

Yes, and 50% is better. An inconvenient fact perhaps, but a fact whether we like it or not.
