Why is my messaging app freezing?

messaging app freezing

Every time I go to use my messaging app it freezes. I have cleared the cache and deleted all dat . Also when I try to delete all my messaging threads it freezes again and I have to restart my phon . I don't want to use any other app so how can I fix this one?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Do you have tons of messages saved? I've seen issues when people keep thousands of messages saved on the phone.
