Why is my Note 5 charging extremely slow?

Note 5 Charging extremely slow...

My Note 5 says it is going to take 6 hours to be fully charged from 10%....When I first got the phone is was charging very fast, about 20-30% up to full in a little under an hour...now I need to charge it all night.
Anyone else have this issue or have a solution?

I'm having the same issue and I don't know why. ...it takes 7 hours from zero and 3 from 50%

Are you using the cord that came with it. Had the same problem when I didn't use it. switched cords problem cured(I tried to use a old one)

Yes the cable and the plug that came with it MUST be used any other combination of the 2 won't activate fast charging, if your cable doesn't have the 2 little notches on the end that goes into your phone it's the wrong cable.

Any quality microusb cable and qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compatible charger will work.

Incorrect.

The cables are fairly standard, it's the wall plug that matters.

Mine fast charges at work with an extra fast charge plug I bought and the cable from an old Google Nexus Tablet I had laying around.

There are issues with fast charge stopping for many. Some think it is a bad cord.

I have 3 chargers, a Note 4, Note 5 and S6E chargers and they all required me to continually unplug and plug them back up to get fast charging to show up. They all worked fine on my Note 4. Finally I exchanged my phone and they all work fine on my new Note 5.

I can't get people to report this to Samsung, everyone needs to report this to Samsung. When a certain number report it, then it automatically triggers an investigation at Samsung.

You guys maybe right, but I tested it and when I used the cable from my Galaxy S4 it did not activate the fast charging

The charging block is what does the fast charging.

But again, there is an issue with fast charging with the Note 5.

I've seen this on my phone when the USB cord wasn't pushed in all the way in to the charger. Might check that.

I've never even unwrapped my N5's charging cable/block. I use my N4's and its always said fast charging. Takes an hour and change to charge from around 15-20%.

That one will work. It just has to be a fast charging block.

I always use my S4 charger to charge my Note 5. The charge times are always all over the place when I plug in at 10% or lower. Most of the time it's 2-2.5 hours to non quick charge it. Yesterday I plugged the phone in and it said 7 hours left to charge. I left it plugged in for 30 minutes and it charged 8%. I unplugged it, and plugged it in again and it went to 2 hours. Kinda wierd...

Mine works perfectly 95% of the time, but randomly (usually at the most important times), it will charge very slowly. I got mine on launch day from Tmobile. I've read a few threads with users facing this issue, maybe someone can provide Samsung contact information for us all to report the issue to?

I currently have an S6 but switching to Note 5. One thing I have found with fast charging is that sometimes when I plug it in quickly and do it at an angle or push in too deeply, it will just charge the old fashion way. As soon as I unplug and plug back in, making sure I have a good flush connection between cable and phone, fast charging works right away. Just something to try.

Mine did that before. I just unplugged the cable from the block then made sure I plugged it back in all the way and it worked

I had the same problem. I called Samsung and I had to return the cable and they mail me a new one. I think the cable has a year warranty.
