Why is my phone constantly making notification sound

Approximately every 2 minutes my phone makes the notification sound. I've turned off all notifications in settings but still doing it. Only way to stop it is to switch the phone off or put in flight mode. This is driving me mad.

Do you have NFC enabled? If so, is the phone near something with a magnetic strip like a credit card?

If you have a Samsung phone, install Nice Catch from the Galaxy Store.

Otherwise check the Notification History in the system settings (if available).
