AC Question

why is my phone getting heated when i charge it?

I have got a Samsung duos S3 phone 4 months ago. I made a data recharge from last month of about 1.5 GB. I downloaded my favourite games and some apps like Whatsapp . from last 15 days I saw that my phone is getting overheated when i play for more time or recharge it from 15% to 100%.... when it gets to 45-60% recharge only it fells very hot as on stove... is this due to my over usage of phone or downloading more things and storing them . i even got an SD card for it recently. or is it due to SD card....????? please let me know the answer and steps to prevent overheating... please.

Welcome to Android Central.

Have you tried using the phone with the SD card unmounted and removed?

Anything processor-intensive, such as games, will cause heat as a by-product.

I'm not aware that large storage will cause or contribute to overheating.

Have you tried a new battery? Your present one may be failing.

The easiest way to prevent overheating is to avoid overworking the processor, and to make sure that the battery is in good condition.
