why is my phone not charging

i have been charging my phone from morning to evening but the battery percent is 1 always . whats the problem???

Assuming that the wall socket is good, it could be a problem with the charger, the USB lead, the USB port, the battery, or something else.
Check the USB lead first - by trying another, for example - and if good, check the USB port for dirt or damage.
