Why is my phone randomly going to the lock screen every couple of minutes when it's on?? 😣😣

My phone has never had any problems that I've noticed, but just last night I was on my phone and it started to turn back to the lock screen with the original wall paper that came with the phone. It is getting very annoying for I have to type in my password to get it back on. The sound of whatever I'm doing doesn't go off, and it stays as is on the screen, but I'm beginning to get very annoyed with it... Please help!!!

The lockscreen options are under Settings and then Security.
Check there to what it is set at and adjust as necessary.
