Why is my Pixel 2 constantly notifying me of analogue device?!?

My phone notifies me every 30 seconds to a minute about an analogue audio device that is detected. Why did this start and how do I get it to stop? It's driving me insane!

Try restarting it in safe mode (press the power button, then long-press the restart icon). The only other "analogue audio device" I can think of is the earphone adapter, and you shouldn't get notifications about that (unless you're using one not designed for the Pixel 2).
