why is my pixel 2 not receiving MMS messages?

[Android Central Question]

Pixel 2 is not receiving group messages or MMS messages for no good reason. Help!

Have tried:
Factory reset
Changing APN
Turning off WiFi calling
Turning off WiFi
Clearing cache and storage
Uninstall and reinstall messages app
Called TMobile and Google to no avail.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure -- you have mobile data turned on, correct?

What happens when someone sends you an MMS message -- does it show the "Tap to Download" message from a single person? Or does nothing happen at all?
