Why is my S-pen not working in a certain part of my screen on my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet

My S-Pen recently stopped working on a certain part of my screen but I can take my finger and draw in that area perfectly fine I'm not using any kind of case at all so there is no magnet strip touching anywhere. What could be causing my S-pen to not write on that part of the screen? Do i need to be replaced?

If there is no magnet interfering (make sure that's also not near a speaker, and if it is, it might have gotten damaged/moved and be interfering with the panel), then yeah, the S-Pen digitizer is damaged on that area (the digitizer for touch input is a separate layer, so that wouldn't necessarily be affected).

Just to be sure, go into Safe Mode and try it there to rule out an app causing issues (at some point, using Messenger's Chat Heads caused similar issues... but that caused it also with touch input, not just the pen).
