Wi-Fi dropping out
I have a Samsung Tab2 7" (bought Dec 2012) which has been working perfectly from new. It connects to Wi-Fi at my home (TalkTalk) and at my daughter's homes (BT & Sky) and other various routers. My home router is also connected to my Samsung Fame phone and my HP Pavilion Laptop and my HP desktop - these remain connected with no problem. Just my Tab2 that has a problem!
To explain - it always 'auto-connected' to my home router but now requires that I enter the password.
That done, it displays 'connecting', 'authenticating', 'obtaining IP address', and 'connected' - all in quick succession. Then the flag pops up across the bottom of the screen advising I am connected to TalkTalk network..... and at that point the connection always drops out. I have tried connecting at my daughter's homes and, whilst it does require me to enter their passwords, it does stay connected.
Samsung say there is no problem, but clearly there is something not right. The problem is that they can make a solid connection but they cannot see the drop-outs I experience. Can anyone advise if it is possible that there is something related to my TalkTalk router - even though that same router remains connected to other equipment in my home without problems?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as it is currently only good for photos and games
---------- Latest situation -------------
I have now been allowed to connect to my next door neighbour's router (which is on the Virgin Network) and my tablet is not dropping out. Currently I am able to work with my tablet from within my house. This seems to indicate that there is something mismatching between my tablet and my TalkTalk router.
