Why is my WiFi password too long for my Samsung S8?

My work WiFi password is 26 characters long. Whenever I get as far as 10 characters on my phone, it tells me that I've reached the maximum number of characters.

I used to have an iPhone that connected perfectly. This is my first android so I'm a little oblivious to some things. Am I able to somehow change this? Or should I just change the WiFi password?

Change the password. Some apps, some devices, limit the length of passwords. (I normally use a 50 random-character password. We won't be using passwords by the time a brute force or rainbow attack can crack that. But I've hit some sites limited to a maximum of 8 characters. Some people [evidently including some Samsung developers] don't think.)
