Why is my Xperia XA2 taking more than one and a half hours for it's system update?

I've set the system update from the Xperia companion and when I pressed install it was around 5 pm. Now it's 6:40pm and the system hasn't started yet. How can I fix this? I bought this phone literally three days ago, I don't want it to die !!

If you're certain that it's doing an update, not - say - waiting for you to tell it to go ahead with the update, don't stop it in the middle of an update. (I've had to have 2 phones replaced when they didn't complete an update.) Just keep your eye on the battery and, if it's still going when you go to sleep, leave the charger plugged in until you get up. (Keeping it charged to 100% for one night won't hurt it.)

If it's still "updating" tomorrow, bring it to the place you bought it and ask for help or a replacement.
