Why is phone not charging

[AC Question]

When I charge my phone it says the battery is at an abnormal temperature but it feels fine. It doesn't feel like it's hot or anything. I try to charge it by turning it off but then there is an icon with the animation of a full battert with an X.

Have you gotten your device wet recently or dropped it? You for sure have a hardware problem. Best suggestion is to take it to a repair shop and have them examine it.
