Why is stuff on my MicroSD card disappearing?

I recently got a 16 gb SanDisk MicroSD card and it was working fine on another phone I had until I decided to put it into my Kyocera Hydro Icon (Android 4.4). And after that every file that I downloaded slowly got deleted. Only the files that were already there before I put the MicroSD into the phone don't get deleted. I even inserted it into my Windows 10 laptop and the files I downloaded still slowly got deleted and only 6gb of space has been used. Any solutions?

Contact SanDisk at SanDisk microSD Tech Support (upper right - live chat). It sounds like a defective or counterfeit card. The warranty on even the cheapest SanDisk cards is 5 years, so they'll be able to help you.

Like I said, it was working fine on the other device until I put it into the Kyocera, so I'm thinking that the phone has something to do with this.
