Why is the "Auto Add" option disabled in the new Google Drive?

So I updated Google Drive to the new version and I found this option disabled, no matter how many times I tap it, it won't get enabled.

I assume if I enable it, all my photos that we were auto backedup to Google+ will copied/moved to Google Drive.

Can you enable it on your Google Drive on the web? Click on the gear button at the upper right, then Click Settings, and check the box for "Create a Google Photos folder."

I think all it does is make your Google+ Photos also visible in Google Drive (which can therefore manipulate those files as well).

Also, on the phone, go to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Drive, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again, and allow it to sync. Is the setting selectable now?

By the way, that feature is still rolling out, so it's possible your device isn't quite ready for it yet. I have the folder, but my Google+ Photos haven't yet appeared in the Drive folder. There's a message that says they're coming soon.

This worked for me, thanks.
