Why is the brightness level in Netflix mobile turning to almost zero?

[Android Central Question]

I am using a Oneplus 7 6GB version. Whenever I use my netflix app and play some video on it, the brightness level goes down to almost not visible even in broad daylight. I tried turning the auto brightness off/on but nothing is working.
