I had the same thing on my s7. Verizon wouldn't do anything because I purchased at Best Buy. Best Buy wouldn't do anything because it was 1 month out of warranty. I called Samsung and their first offer was to send it in (at my cost) and they would tell me what it would cost me to have repaired. I was having none of that and informed them I would deliver my s7 to the NYS Attorney General and see if Samsung would like to have to recall the S7's like they had to do with the Note7. The operator went away for a few minutes and came back with a pre-paid return label, and would be fixed at Samsung's cost & returned to me in a week. Worked for me.
