Why is the dual sim card option not working on my LG G6?

Hey guys,

i just stumbled over this problem and coulndt find any solutions online so far.

I have a LG G6 and two sim cards one from Germany and one from Switzerland. I live in switzerland right now if thats of any relevance.
Whenever I put both in and start up it would only recognize one of them (the one in the upper tray). I see no option in the menu for dual sim or when it starts up.

Do you have any idea why it wouldnt recognize the second sim card?

Did you bought it at some provider ?

No, I bought it from a private person, who had no use for it anymore.

Are you sure it is a dual SIM phone and that is not just a memory card slot? What is the model #?

Hey i thought oh was a dual sim Phone. Oh definetly has the slot where you can decide between a sim card or a sd card additionally to the normal sim card slot.
The model number is LG - H870

If it only works in one slot I suspect it is not a dual SIM phone. It's hard to tell the difference.

Is it a H870 or a H870DS (which is the dual sim model)?
