I was reading an article today, which was as follows;

Samsung Details Devices to Receive Jelly Bean and Key Lime Pie; Galaxy S III and Note II to Get Key Lime Pie | Android News - AndroidHeadlines.com

Why the HELL is the SIII SGH-I747M Always let out of these lists! It's a huge piss off if you ask me. And I am quite fed up with it. So what? It's not on the list to stop at 4.2.2 and it's not on the list to get 5.0. So I guess it's in limbo. Does anyone have accurate info to produce on whether the SGH-I747M will stop at 4.2.2 or get Key Lime Pie 5.0

This is the first time I've even heard of android 5. Key lime pie? Seriously??

I'm gonna go kill a bunny

It'll likely trickle down to all S3 variants, hopefully.
Don't worry yet.

I am hoping! Just seems we Canadians are the last to get everything, 3rd world countries with no water get updates faster than us!

Isn't that the truth!! And I believe from what I have seen that we pay way more for the privilege!!

Yes our packages are nuts, especially if you are in Southern Ontario, and you are with one of the big providers. Aka Bell, Telus, Rogers.
Hopefully once Wind merges and increases their service area, the competition will start to COMPETE!

I'm with Rogers. Would love to go with Wind for their incredibly cheap unlimited packages but have not heard good things about their coverage.

Get a Nexus from the Google Play Store, problem solved.

That isn't going to correct coverage issues from Wind, that will just get you a phone that works on Wind Their service area sucks right now.
I had a Nexus 4, wasn't happy with it and went back to my S3. I prefer my Sammy by far, even if it's a Dual Core and not a Quad.

To each their own.
My S3 hasn't seen more than a day or 2 of daylight since I got my N4 in December.

As for Wind...I use Koodo.

At the time, key lime pie was widely thought to be 5.0. Since then we learned it would be 4.4 (not 4.3). The name was then changed to Kit Kat (still 4.4). Android 4.3 does look like it will be released but it is still jellybean.

a) if you have even the slightest know-how, you can download software updates and flash them to your phone ANY TIME YOU WANT.
b) with an iPhone, you are forced to update only when they want, and you can't change or roll back software at your discretion. It's ridiculous. Good luck with that
